The management of the Ghana Education Service has officially disclosed the selection of senior high schools for all BECE candidates who sat for the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination will commence 29th November 2021.
In a letter dated 22nd November 2021 and signed by Cassandra Twum Ampafo, the Head of the public relations unit of the Ghana Education Service, management wishes to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians, candidates, and teachers that the sensitization and Education on guidelines in this year’s school selection into senior high schools will commence Tuesday, 23rd November 2022.
This exercise will take place in all respective regions, the District Education Directorate, and the schools.
According to GES, the will be a public announcement on the school selection sensitization in all nine Ghanaian languages with flyers and short videos of which parents and guardians are encouraged to watch out.
Management further stated that the selection of schools by BECE candidates is scheduled from 29th to 14th December 2021. Parents and guardians are advised to take a keen interest in their ward school selection to ensure that there is a smooth placement of students this year.
GES explained that after students have selected their school, a shortcode will be made available for students to Crosscheck their schools before the actual placement will come. The details on the short code will be made available in due course
