On Saturday day, 23 July 2022, Teachers across the country were made aware by the Ashanti Regional GNAT Chairman, Mr. Prosper Takyie at the GNAT Hour program that by the end of September 2022 all teachers will be put on this rightful scale (both upgrading and promotions) including junior ranks.

“By the end of September this year, almost all applicants to various grades will be placed on the rightful scale (Both upgrading and promotion) for Senior and junior ranks.” He said
But as we speak now the majority of the teachers who are also GNAT members are wailing in pain because they have been denied what is rightfully due them which is Promotion and upgrading by the Ghana Education Service. This is clearly shown by September 2022 validation that was open yesterday 20th September 2022.
Then again in that same program, teachers were also blackmailed by the GNAT union that all those who have not received their laptops will get their laptops by the middle of September 2022, and mob up exercise will be organized for those who have not received their laptops in JHS and SHS.
“All Primary and KG teachers will receive their laptops by middle of September. A mob-up exercise will be done after September 2022. Hence, those at the SHS/JHS who have still not received theirs shouldn’t get perturbed.” He stated.
As we speak now primary Teachers have been told that due to the large numbers of primary schools in the country, primary school teachers should rather wait for their laptops later.
