32 TVET institutions to be built across the country- Pres. Akufo Addo

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) which provides knowledge and skills for employment has become one of the agendas of this government which they intend to train more Ghanaians to equip them with knowledge and skills that will enable individual in the country to seek their jobs rather than waiting for the government to employment.

Base on this H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on his delivery of the state of the nation address 2021 (SONA2021) thanks parliament for passing the educational regulatory Act 2020, Act1023 which will help to connect technical and vocational education in the country.

He added that Government is building 32 Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions across the country which will help to augment inadequate infrastructure, which is meant for training the individual to acquire their skills in the Technical field.

The president is however sure that when these technical institutions are completed across the country, the government will be able to enroll more students who are willing and determine to progress in the technical and vocational field.

For a country to be able to develop most of its human resources need to be working in the technical field where engineers, carpenters, and contractors are raised from. Base on this, the government in his delivery of the nation address stressed that Government is ready to expand infrastructure in the various universities to get more students to enroll in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related programs which will help improve students’ robotics skills in the country.
