The Director-General of Ghana Education Service, prof Opoku Amankwa has disclosed that Teachers will be given their laptops beginning from next month or two that is September and October 2021 under the one teacher one laptop initiative.
Addressing the press conference yesterday 26th August 2021 the Director-General stated that he had a lot of complaints from Teachers and the Media house saying that they don’t understand why only teachers in the senior high school (SHS) have been given the Teachers laptops under the one teacher one laptop initiative.
In addressing those complaints the Director-General of Ghana Education Service indicated that they have procured some quantity of the laptops for teachers and beginning from next Month or two all teachers from Nursery to Senior High Schools will be given the laptops.
He added that before the laptops will be distributed to all teachers, the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service wants to do an official launch in the coming weeks for the distribution of the laptops and from there, more details on the laptops will be explained.
