Leave the teaching Service if you don’t want the Teachers Laptop – CCTGH


The president of the coalition of concern Teachers Ghana CCTGH has called on Teachers who do not want to take the one teacher one laptop that was launched on 3rd September 2021 at St Mary’s senior high campus in Accra to leave the teaching profession and work elsewhere.

The management of the Ghana Education Service in collaboration with the ministry of education and the three Teacher unions, Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT, National Association of Graduate Teachers NAGRAT, and Coalition of Concern Teachers Ghana CCTGH initiated the one teacher one laptop initiative to supply all teachers from kindergarten to senior high school with laptops but some section of Teachers are kicking against the distribution of laptops to teachers.

King Ali Awudu, the president of the coalition of concern Teachers Ghana CCTGH speaking on Adom TV show fight back at Teachers who are kicking against the distribution of these laptops to teachers and ask those teachers who do not want the laptops to leave the teaching Service and seek for work elsewhere.

According to him, his comment is not a threat to Teachers but to those who do not want teaching resources to improve in the Teaching and learning of Ghanaian Students.

He indicated that the decision to distribute Laptops to Teachers was a majority decision and every Teacher is bound by that decision.

He also added that the cost-sharing is beneficial to the teacher since no Teacher can have a quality Laptop with just Gh¢ 549.44.
