The management of the Ghana Education Service has stated that they have received several complaints from newly posted teachers who are yet to be confirmed by the Regional and District Directors of Education to become, professionals, that most directors of education demand money from them before they are confirmed.
Management of Ghana Education Service has noticed this with concern and is advising newly posted teachers who are in the Service and waiting for confirmation that there are no charges for confirmation. So newly posted teachers shouldn’t pay any fees to District Directors of Education for confirmation.
Management also wishes to inform Municipal and District Directors of Education that there are no fees for such service and so confirmation should be rendered free to those who deemed fit. Directors of Education should also follow the right procedures to confirm teachers.
Most teachers have complained of being victims to their Directors. But this news has come as good news to Newly posted teachers. Teachers are hopeful that Municipal and District Directors of Education will follow this directive from the Ghana Education Service.
