The Management of the Ghana Education Service has officially warned that any public basic school headteacher who mistakenly admits or registers private school pupils in Junior High school form three (3) to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be severely sanctioned.
Management of the Ghana Education Service said it is illegal to register private school pupils in public basic schools to write Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
According to GES, private school pupils are not qualified to be admitted to public basic schools JHS three (3) or register to write BECE.
GES has stated that under no circumstances should any public basic school head register private school pupils to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination in their school. Any headmaster who is found as a culprit will be dealt with.
In a letter signed by Prof. Opoku Amankwa, the Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE is strictly for only public basic schools JHS three (3) students.
