A coalition of aggrieved Teachers warned teacher unions to act on their strike action or face their wrath.

A group of Teachers called Coalition of aggrieved Teachers Union Members (CATUM) has warned the three major teacher unions GNAT, NAGRAT, and CCTGH to desist from the tricks and effect their 30th June 2022 deadline they set to take action against the government concerning the condition of service of the Ghanaian teacher.

According to the Aggrieved Teachers Union, they are now sick and tired of the talks and tricks of the major teacher unions and want the three teacher unions to embark on their industrial action. Any failure by the teacher unions to declare the strike action will amount to a rise in tempers of the Ghanaian teacher and the next line of action cannot be disclosed.

The Aggrieved Teachers Union further explained that government cannot remain silent on the welfare of teachers and keep furnishing their offices and department with sugar-branded incentives, causing hardship to the ordinaries. This time around the Aggrieved Teachers said they are ready to bite hard even if the major teacher unions remain adamant.

Aggrieved Teacher unions added that following the recent statement made by the president concerning public teachers indicate that teachers are not meant for better living and better condition of service.

CATUM has noted that the earlier the teacher unions act on their threat, the better the sustainability of the unions. The Aggrieved Teachers Union also warn their colleague teachers that should in case the three major teacher unions declare a strike and any teacher is found in a classroom then he or she should blame himself or herself for whatever happens.
