The management of GES met with the Director General and Assessment team of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment ( NaCCA) today to review the results of the 2021 National Standardised Test (NST) conducted for P4 and to address some challenges that confronted both Agencies so they do not reoccur in the 2022 edition.
Average scores per various Regions/Districts in both English and maths were critically assessed to know the Districts or Regions that fell below the proficiency level .
The two Director -General’s who were present, Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa of GES and Professor Edward Appiah of NaCCA pledged their commitment to ensure this year’s NST is conducted without hitches. They both proposed the formation of a Technical Committee to plan this years test which will include Primary 2 as well.
Present also at the Review meeting was the Deputy Director-General( Q&A), Dr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh.
