Eligibility Requirements for the Fully Funded Swansea University EPSRC and STFC PHD Scholarship 2024/2025

Candidates for the Swansea University EPSRC and STFC PhD Scholarship will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be either domestic or international students.
  • Candidates should hold a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree, or a Master’s degree with Merit, in a relevant discipline.
  • For those whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each component) or an equivalent qualification is required. Please refer to the Swansea University website for a list of acceptable English language tests. Although it is preferred that candidates meet the English language requirements at the time of application, it is not mandatory.
  • This scholarship is available to both UK and international applicants. Note that international and EU students may need to cover the difference between the home (UK) UKRI fee and the institutional international student fee.
