All public primary schools Teachers and primary four (4) pupils are to remain in school till 17th December 2021 to write the novel National Standardized Test to assess their knowledge, skills, and value that they gain from the introduction of the new curriculum in pre-tertiary schools.
Information reaching Educegh media indicates that after vacation on 10th December 2021, all primary four teachers and their headmasters are supposed to remain in school to prepare the primary four (4) kids for this year’s maiden National Standardized Test that was introduced to assess the progress of the new curriculum.
Headteachers are required to bring this notice to the parents of this primary four children in all public basic schools about this current development to prepare their children emotionally and physically for this exam since they will be the only class attending school whiles others are in the house.
Headteachers in public basic schools are entreated to inform their primary four (4) teachers to remain and prepare these children for this National Standardized Test and various centers and how the exam will be conducted.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum later this year indicated that the government’s aim to improve the education system was to organize National Standardized Test to assess and identify students’ achievement on set national competency standards in literacy and numeracy.
According to the minister in a press briefing, the basic 4 pupils will be the first batch to write this National Standardized Test this year. The National Standardized Test will not only improve learning outcomes but will also reduce learning poverty in the country.
