With more than 250 study options available, Chisholm offers qualifications that range from certificate and diploma levels to advanced diplomas, bachelor degrees, and graduate certificates. These programs are designed to be industry-relevant, helping learners transition smoothly into the workforce or further study.
The institute draws its name from Caroline Chisholm, a renowned 19th-century humanitarian known for her dedication to social reform and education. The name also pays tribute to the former Chisholm Institute of Technology, which served the south-east Melbourne community from 1982 until its integration into Monash University in 1990.
Chisholm Institute boasts several campuses strategically located to serve a wide region. These include Dandenong, Berwick, Frankston, Springvale, Cranbourne, Wonthaggi, Mornington Peninsula, and a presence in central Melbourne. Each campus is equipped with modern facilities tailored to the programs offered.
The Berwick campus, in particular, has seen significant investment in recent years. In 2009, it became home to the Berwick Technical Education Centre (TEC), providing state-of-the-art learning spaces for vocational training. In 2011, the Victorian State Budget allocated $26 million towards a new Trade Careers Centre at Berwick, further enhancing opportunities for students pursuing careers in trades and construction.
