Management of the Ghana Education Service has officially disclosed that the distribution of one teacher one laptop to primary school teachers to kick start shortly after the Easter holidays.
To date, distribution of the TM 1 Laptop to all teachers in the Senior High Schools throughout the country has in principle, been completed. It is, however, noted that there are isolated mop-ups, that ought to be carried out.
Distribution of the laptops to teachers in the Junior High School level, have been completed in 15 Regions with the exception of Ashanti Region. It is expected that by the third week of June, the distribution for teachers in the Ashanti Region would have been completed.
It is programmed that distribution for the primary schools will start immediately after the Easter holidays and expected to be completed by the end of July, 2022.
Teaching staff in the offices will receive their laptops immediately, to the primary school teachers are completed.
Management is working closely with the supplier to ensure that these timelines are strictly adhered to for all eligible teachers to receive their laptops by the end of August 2022.
Management, therefore, appeals to all teaching staff to be patient as the schedule unfolds to its logical conclusion.
