Teachers intervention allowance has been worked on and will be paid very soon- GES


The Director-General of Ghana Education service GES, Prof Kwasi Opoku Amankwa during his working visit to some senior high schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana has disclosed that the intervention allowance of Teachers has been worked on and will be paid very soon.

The Director-General of Ghana Education Service commended the management and staff of the Schools he visited for their immense contribution to the development of students as well as the performance of students in last year’s WASSCE examination despite the challenges that Teachers face due to the pandemic.

The Director also urges teachers to continue with their works and assured them that their intervention allowance has been worked on and will be paid very soon.

He added that due to the pandemic management of the Ghana Education Service could not organize the annual workshop for core subjects teachers of various schools. But master trainers have been organized to put together a recording of lessons in the core subjects which will be given to various schools in the country.

Some of the schools visited were Achiase SHS, Aperade SHSTS, and Akim Swedru SHS.
