Over the years teachers have been working all the time with little take-home pay. The outbreak of this deadly pandemic has even worsened the case of our teachers in the schools. Teachers have been working like health official in the schools as well as teaching to ensure the safety of students in schools, teachers have been closely monitoring students in their various schools in the country.
If you are a teacher and you don’t take absolute care of your students and mistakenly a child mix hands sanitizer and drink, you will be in trouble so because of this teachers are combining the work of teaching as well as ensuring the safety of their students in their various schools. Also, they ensure that covid protocols are strictly followed, this burden the teachers in the course of their work.
It is on this basis that the Deputy director of administration and finance at the wenchi Municipal Directorate of the Ghana education services after receiving schools uniforms meant for some beneficiaries schools within the wenchi Municipality called on the high office of the Municipal chief executive and the government to initiate a motivation award for teachers to appreciate their efforts.
Teachers at this pandemic time indeed are suffering seriously in combining teaching and ensuring that the safety protocols that health experts outline are surely followed by these school children to prevent the further spread of the virus.
Handling small children is not an easy task but teachers can manage with these children in our schools, they should be appreciated for their efforts.
