The management of the Ghana Education Service has disclosed that the recent teacher promotion examination results that were released this year are currently under investigation.
Speaking to the media on Thursday 26th August 2025, the Director-General of Ghana Education Service prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa stated that the recent promotion aptitude test results that were released by his outfit are currently under investigation in parliament.
On 10th August 2025, the three Teacher unions, Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT, National Association of Graduate Teachers NAGRAT, and Coalition of Concern Teachers Ghana CCTGH brought out a press statement that there is a promotion crisis in GES. They indicated that the way and manner in which GES released the last promotion examination results were unfair and that Teachers were cheated of what is due them. So they gave GES up to September to address that challenges.
In the press briefing to address that challenge, prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa stated that some of the Aggrieved Teachers who wrote the examination said they were unhappy with the results and have petition parliament to investigate the way and manner in which the results were released, so he can’t talk much about the promotion results as far it is under investigation.
